External trade in goods of Montenegro January 2020

The total external trade in goods of Montenegro for january 2020 according to preliminary results is 170.0 million EUR, indicating the growth of 8.3% in comparison with the same period of the previous year.
 
The value of exports of goods was 31.2 million EUR, and import was 138.8 million EUR. Compared to the same period last year, exports increased by 10.8%, while imports increased by 7.7%.
 
The coverage of import by export was 22.5% and it was higher compared to the coverage for the same period of the previous year when it was 21.9%.
 
In the structure of exports, in accordance with the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC), the most present products were Mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials (Section 3), in amount of 8.9 million EUR (consisted of Electric current – 7.4 million EUR, Petroleum, petroleum products and related materials - 974 thousand EUR and other).
 
In the structure of imports, in accordance with the SITC, the most present products were Machinery and transport equipment (Section 7) with 28.2 million EUR (consisted of: Road vehicles - 8.4 million EUR, Electric machines, appliances - 6.8 million EUR and other).
 
Main trading partners in exports on an individual basis were: Serbia ( 7.3 million EUR), Slovenia (5.7 million EUR) and Hungary (3.0 million EUR).
 

Main trading partners in imports on an individual basis were: Serbia (21.5 million EUR), China (14.8 million EUR) and Germany (12.8 million EUR). The highest external trade was with CEFTA parties and the EU member states.
