External trade in goods of Montenegro January - February 2021
The total external trade in goods of Montenegro for January - February 2021 according to preliminary results is 313.1 million EUR, indicating the decline of 20.0% in comparison with the same period of the previous year.
The value of exports of goods was 60.2 million EUR, and import was 252.9 million EUR. Compared to the same period last year, exports decreased by 1.6%, while imports decreased by 23.4%.
The coverage of import by export was 23.8% and it was higher compared to the coverage for the same period of the previous year when it was 18.5%.
In the structure of exports, in accordance with the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC), the most present products were Mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials (Section 3), in amount of 20.9 million EUR (consisted of Electric current – 19.6 million EUR, Coal, coke and briguettes – 1.0 million EUR and other).
In the structure of imports, in accordance with the SITC, the most present products were Machinery and transport equipment (Section 7) with 57.5 million EUR (consisted of: Road vehicles – 16.0 million EUR, Electric machines, appliances - 15.2 million EUR and other).
Main trading partners in exports on an individual basis were: Serbia (16.5 million EUR), Slovenia (4.9 million EUR) and Bosnia and Hercegovina (4.7 million EUR).
Main trading partners in imports on an individual basis were: Serbia (49.5 million EUR), China (30.4 million EUR) and Germany (27.9 million EUR). The highest external trade was with CEFTA parties and the EU member states.
