Transport quarterly statistics
Transport of passengers in the fourth quarter of 2021, compared to the same quarter of the previous year increased in rail transport for 28.6%, road transport by 102.0%, local road for 7.8%, passenger transport at airports 179.9%, the scheduled air transport for 3.6%.
The transport of goods in the fourth quarter of 2021, compared to the same quarter last year increased in the transport of goods at airports by 10.3%, in rail by 10.2%, and in the total turnover of goods in ports by 11.9%.
Number of trans-shipment tonnes in the ports in the fourth quarter of 2021, compared to the same quarter of the previous year increased by 16.9%, in the manipulated tonnes by 13.7%.
Total number of injury accidents on roads in the fourth quarter 2021 totaled 1 503 which is 19.5% more than the same quarter of previous year. Number of casualies in the fourth quarter 2021 amounted to 722 (of which 707 injuries), which is 26.2% more than the same quarter of previous year.
Number of registered road motor vehicles and trailers in the fourth quarter 2021 is 66 191 which is a increase of 5.8% in comparison with the same quarter of previous year. Number of first time registered road motor vehicles and trailers in the fourth quarter 2021 is 4 682 which is a increase of 19.6% in comparison with the same quater of previous year.
In the fourth quarter of 2021 road goods motor vehicles transported a 200 thousands tons of goods and performed 29 189 thousand tonne-kilometers. Kilometres travelled by loaded vehicles was 1 830 thousands kilometres. In the structure of transported goods, national transport participates with 87.0% or 174 thousands tons of goods, while international transport participates with 13.0%, or 26 thousands tons of goods. In the structure of performed tonne-kilometers internal transport participates with 54.3% or 15 848 thousands tonne-kilometers and international transport with 45.7% or 13 341 thousands tonne-kilometers.
