In academic year 2021/2022, at the higher education institutions in Montenegro, there were 4 697 students enrolled at postgraduate studies and doctoral studies.

There were 4 557 students enrolled at postgraduate studies, as follows: 1 613 at specialist studies, 2 944 at master studies. Among total number of students share of females is 61% and share of males is 39%.

Number of students enrolled at specialist studies decreased in comparison with previous academic year is 29.8%. Of the total number of students enrolled in specialist studies, 1 128 or 69.9% were in public higher education institutions, while 485 or 30.1% were enrolled in private higher education institutions.
