External trade in goods of Montenegro - January – December 2022
The total external trade in goods of Montenegro for January – December 2022, according to the final results, is 4 234.1 million EUR, indicating the growth of 43.9% in comparison with the same period of the previous year.
The value of exports of goods was 700.3 million EUR, and import was 3 533.8 million EUR. Compared to the same period last year, exports increased by 60.2%, while imports increased by 41.1%.
The coverage of import by export was 19.8%, and it was higher compared to the coverage for the same period of the previous year when it was 17.4%.
In the structure of exports, in accordance with the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC), the most present products were Mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials (Section 3), in amount of 209.9 million EUR (consisted of Electric current – 170.2 million EUR and other).
In the structure of imports, in accordance with the SITC, the most present products were Machinery and transport equipment (Section 7) with 709.9 million EUR (consisted of: Road vehicles – 228.5 million EUR, Electrical machinery, apparatus and appliances – 142.3 million EUR and other).
Main trading partners in exports on an individual basis were: Serbia (149.4 million EUR), Switzerland (108.0 million EUR) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (90.6 million EUR).
Main trading partners in imports on an individual basis were: Serbia (614.8 million EUR), China (330.6 million EUR) and Greece (289.1 million EUR). The highest external trade was with CEFTA parties and the EU member states.
