Utilized agricultural land in 2022 is 253 671.4 ha, what is a decrease of 0.7% compared to 2021. In total utilized agricultural land areas, perennial meadows and pastures areas prevail with the share of 94.4%, while arable land are present with 2.7%, permanent crops 2.1% and kitchen gardens 0.8%. In comparison with 2021, perennial meadows and pastures area decreased by 0.7%, arable land by 2.3%, permanent crops by 1.7% and kitchen gardens 3.2%.

Total production of maize for grain in 2022 was 2 813.3 t, what is a rise of 6.9% compared to 2021. An increase in production was also recorded in the following crops: onion (1.0%), pepper (0.7%), dry beans (2.8%), watermelon (1.4%) and melon (18.0%).

Compared to 2021, an increase is recorded in total production of: pears (8.2%), peaches (1.5%) and olives (14.1%), while there was recorded lower production of mandarins (4.0%). Total production of grapes in 2022 records a decrease by 13.2% in comparison with previous year.
