Monthly inflation measured by Consumer price index increased +0.5% in April. This was influenced mostly by the increase in prices of food, operation of personal transport equipment and non-alcoholic beverages.

When observing the main groups.monthly growth of prices was noticed in the following groups: Transport (+1.6%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (+1.0%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (+0.8%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (+0.3%); Housing. water. electricity. gas and other fuels (+0.2%); Restaurants and hotels (+0.2%); Health (+0.1%); Communications (+0.1%); while a decrease in prices is recorded in groups: Miscellaneous goods and services (-3.0%); Clothing and footwear (-0.2%); Recreation and culture (-0.2%). Prices in the group Education remain at the same level as in the previous month.

Positive annual inflation rates in April were observed in the following groups: Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (+25.4%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (+10.2%); Health (+4.9%); Transport (+2.2%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (+1.8%); Communications (+1.0%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (+0.9%); Miscellaneous goods and services (+0.5%); while negative annual inflation rates were observed in the following groups: Clothing and footwear (-3.0%); Recreation and culture (-1.1%); Hotels and restaurants (-0.5%); Education (-0.3%).
