Representatives of Statistical Office of Montenegro – MONSTAT participated in the Milocer Economic Forum organized from 10 to 12 September 2012 as speakers.

On11 September 2012, Ms Jelena Zvizdojevic, assistant director for Sector of Statistics of Agriculture and Environment presented ”Survey presentation”, and as a co-speaker participated in the presentation ‘MONSTAT Key Surveys’.

Also, Plan of Statistical Surveys for 2013 was presented by Ms. Jelena Zvizdojevic during her presentation, pointing out that all statistical surveys in the area of statistics are important, because they provide the data requested both at the national and international level. During her presentation, Ms Zvizdojevic mentioned 15 publications and 308 releases, published by MONSTAT in period from October 2011 until the end of September 2012.

On 12 September 2012, Ms Gordana Radojevic, director of MONSTAT was introductory speaker and moderator of panel ‘Statistical Monitoring and Measurement of New Economic Growth’.

In addition to Ms Radojevic, there were the following panellists:
1. Mr Dragan Vukmirovic, PhD, director (Statistical Office of Serbia)
2. Ms Daliborka Pejovic, director (Agency for Environmental Protection of Montenegro)
3. Ms Maja Drakic-Grgur, PhD, dean (Faculty for International Economy, Finances, and Business, University UDG)

The aim of the panel was to present the importance of statistical data, obligation of statistics, importance of complex surveys and analysis in the area of environment, problems existing in quantifying the importance of environment, as well as improving GDP as the main indicator of development.
