19.11.2012Monthly inflation in October was +0.7%, while the annual reached a level of +4.9%
Monthly inflation measured by Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices was +0.7% in October. This was influenced mostly by the increase in prices of vegetables; clothes; oils and fats; fruit; meat; non-durable household goods and solid fuels. Annual inflation in October was +4.9%, and it is higher than in September, when it was +4.6%.
When observing the main groups, monthly growth in prices was noticed in the following groups: Clothing and footwear (+4.2%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (+2.6%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (+0.5%); Health (+0.5%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco
(+0.4%); Furnishing,household equipment and routine household maintenance (+0.3%), while a drop in prices was recorded in groups: Restaurants and Hotels (-3.2%); Transport (-0.7%); Recreation and culture (-0.2%); Communications (-0.1%). Prices in the groups: Education; Miscellaneous goods and services, remain at the same level as in the previous month.
