The total external trade of Montenegro for period January-October 2012 is EUR 1 846.4 million, indicating the drop of 2.6% in comparison with the same month of the previous year.
The value of exports of goods is EUR 302.1 million, what is 20.5% less compared to the same period of previous year, and imports are EUR 1 544.3 million, what is 1.8% higher compared to the same period of previous year.
The coverage of import by export is 19.6%, and it is lower compared to the coverage for the same period of previous year, when it was 25.1%.
Structure of exports in accordance with the SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) the most present products are Manufactured goods classified chiefly by material– Section 6, in amount of EUR 137.5 million (consisted of: Non-ferrous metals with the amount of EUR 115 million, and Iron and steel with EUR 15 million).
The structure of imports in accordance with the classification SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) is presented mostly products of Section 1 – Food and live animals with EUR 299.1 million (consisted of: Meat and meat preparations with EUR 67.6 million, and Cereals and cereal preparations with EUR 48.2 million).
Main trading partners in exports with individual basis were: Croatia (EUR 73.8 million), Serbia (EUR 65 million) and Slovenia (EUR 24.8 million).
Main trading partners in imports with individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 457.3 million), Greece (EUR 136.1 million), and China (EUR 112.2 million). The highest external trade trend was with CEFTA and EU countries.
