External trade in goods of Montenegro January-October 2017

The total external trade in goods of Montenegro for period January-October 2017 is EUR 2 189.5 million, indicating the growth of 10.3% in comparison with the previous year.
 
The value of exports of goods was 305.7 million EUR, and import was 1 883.8 million EUR. compared with the same period of 2016, exports increased 17%, and imports increased 9.3%.
 
The coverage of import by export was 16.2% and it was higher compared to the coverage for the same period of previous year (15.2%).
 
In the structure of exports, in accordance with the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC), the most present products were Manufactured goods classified chiefly by material (Section 6), in amount of EUR 86.3 million (consisted of: Non-ferrous metals - EUR 59.5 million, and Iron and steel - EUR 14.7 million).
 
In the structure of imports, in accordance with the SITC, the most present products were Machinery and transport equipment (Section 7) with EUR 420 million (consisted of: Road vehicles - EUR 129.9 million, Electrical machinery, apparatus and appliances - EUR 75.7 million).
 
Main trading partners in exports on an individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 50.8 million) Bosnia and Herzegovina (EUR 38 million) and Hong Kong (EUR 26.8 million).
 

Main trading partners in imports on an individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 417.7 million), China (EUR 171.9 million) and Germany (EUR 157.6 million). The highest external trade was with CEFTA parties and the EU member states.
