Livestock slaughtering in slaughterhouses October 2018
In October 2018 compared to the same month last year, the total number of cattle in slaughterhouses in Montenegro, decreasing 1.8% (net weight decrease of 13%). In sheep, pigs and poultry it was increase in the total number of slaughtered animals compared to the same month last year.
As compared to the previous month, the total number of cattle in slaughterhouses in Montenegro decreased by 1.6% (net weight decreased of 5%). Increase was on total number of slaughtered sheep, and pigs compared to the previous month. The total number of slaughtered poultry is decreased by 2.5% (net weight decreased by 7.2%).
In the period from January to October 2018 was increase in the slaughter of cattle. Number of slaughtered cattle is 25 401 or 18.5% more than in the same period of 2017. Increase is also present in sheep, pigs and poultry.
