Quarterly statistics of transport IV quarter 2018

Transport of passengers in the fourth quarter of 2018, compared to the same quarter of the previous year increased in rail transport for 7.5%, road transport by 0.1%, local road for 0.8%, the carriage of passengers at airports by 10.8 %, scheduled air transport for 11.7% and non scheduled air for 30.8%.
 
The transport of goods in the fourth quarter of 2018, compared to the same quarter last year decreased on the rail transport for 44.0%, while increase registered in total turnover of goods in ports by 9.6% and transport of goods on the airports by 7.4%.
 
Number of trans-shipment tonnes in the ports in the fourth quarter of 2018, compared to the same quarter of the previous year decreased by 13.1%, in the manipulated tonnes by 0.2%.
 
Number of minutes in fixed telecommunication in the fourth quarter of 2018 compared to the same quarter of the previous year decreased by 17.6% at the minutes of mobile telephony increase by 3.8%.
 
Total number of injury accidents1 on roads in the fourth quarter 2018 totaled 1 450 which is 2.7% more than the same quarter of the 2017. Number of casualies in the four quarter 2018 amounted to 644 (of which 634 injuries), which is 4.2% less than the same quarter 2017.
 
Number of registered road motor vehicles and trailers in the fourth quarter 2018 is 59 916 which is a increase of 8.4% in comparison with the same quarter of previous year. Number of first time registered road motor vehicles and trailers3 in the fourth quarter 2018 is 6 297 which is a increase of 15.4% in comparison with the same quater of previous year.

In the fourth quarter of 2018 road goods motor vehicles transported a 205 thousands tons of goods and performed 20 896 thousand tonne-kilometers. Kilometres travelled by loaded vehicles was 990 thousands kilometres. In the structure of transported goods, national transport participates with 91.7% or 188 thousands tons of goods, while international transport participates with 8.3%, or 17 thousands tons of goods. In the structure of performed tonne-kilometers internal transport participates with 62.9% or 13 139 thousands tonne-kilometers and international transport with 37.1% or 7 757 thousands tonne-kilometers.
