In Montenegro, in August 2011, tourists realised 455 185 arrivals which is 5.3% more than in August 2010, while they made 3 556 078 overnight stays which is 12.2% more than in August 2010. Overnight stays of domestic tourists represent 11%, while the foreign tourists represent 89% of all overnight stays in August 2011. In the first eight months of this year, tourists realized 1 102 639 arrivals, which is 7.3% more compared to the same period last year, and 7 375 387 overnight stays which is 9.5% more compared to the same period last year. Number of overnight stays of domestic tourists decreased 2.4%, while the number of overnight stays of foreign tourists increased 11.1%.

Concerning the structure of overnight stays of foreign tourists the most of them were realised by tourists from Serbia (27.9%), Russia (20.3%), Bosnia and Herzegovina (7.6%), Kosovo (3.4%), Ukraine (3.1%), Albania (2.3%), Poland (2.1%), and other countries.

Concerning the structure of overnight stays by type of resort, the most of them were realised in seaside resorts (98.8%), in mountain resorts (0.7%), in capital city (0.2%), than in other tourist resorts and other resorts.
