In Montenegro, in September 2011, tourists realised 201 871 arrivals which is 14.9% more than in September 2010, while they made 1 143 745 overnight stays which is 15.3% more than in September  2010. Overnight stays of domestic tourists represent 11.4%, while the foreign tourists represent 88.6% of all overnight stays in September 2011. In the first nine months of this year, tourists realized 1 304 510 arrivals, which is 8.4% more compared to the same period last year, and 8 519 132 overnight stays which is 10.2% more compared to the same period last year. Number of overnight stays of domestic tourists decreased 2.8%, while the number of overnight stays of foreign tourists increased 12%.

Concerning the structure of overnight stays of foreign tourists the most of them were realised by tourists from Russia (23.5%), Serbia (17%),  Bosnia and Herzegovina (9.8%), Ukraine (6.9%), Poland (5.3%), Republic of Macedonia (2.8%), Germany (2.4%) and other countries.

Concerning the structure of overnight stays by type of resort, the most of them were realised in seaside resorts (97.4%), in mountain resorts (1.2%), in capital city (0.8%), than in other tourist resorts and other resorts.
