Livestock slaughtering in slaughterhouses August 2019
In August 2019 compared to the same month last year, the total number of slaughter cattle in slaughterhouses in Montenegro, increasing 0.2% (net weight increase of 0.3%). Increase was on total number of slaughtered sheep and pigs compared to the same month of the previous year. The total number of slaughtered poultry it is decreased.
As compared to the previous month, the total number of slaughter cattle in slaughterhouses in Montenegro decreased by 1.6% (net weight decreased of 5,7%). Increase was on total number of slaughtered sheep and pigs compared to the previous month. The total number of slaughtered poultry is increased by 1.3% (net weight increased by 1.8%).
In the period from January to August 2019 was increase in the slaughter of cattle. Number of slaughtered cattle is 20 483 or 0.3% more than in the same period of 2018. Increase in slaughter for the same period is present in sheep and pigs, while in poultry is decrease.
