In the second quarter of 2023 there was an increase in the slaughter of bovines in slaughterhouses in Montenegro. Number of slaughtered bovines is 8 884 or 2.6 % more than in the second quarter of 2022. The net weight of slaughtered bovines in the second quarter of 2023 increased by 8.8%.
The total number of slaughtered sheep in the second quarter of 2023 increased by 19.7% compared to the second quarter 2022. The net weight of slaughtered sheep in the second quarter of 2023 increased by 22.4%. The total number of slaughtered pigs decreased compared to the same quarter of 2022, while the total number of slaughtered poultry increased by 35.9%.
