In the third quarter of 2023 there was a decrease in the slaughter of cattle in slaughterhouses in Montenegro. Number of slaughtered cattle is 8 748 or 4.6 % less than in the third quarter of 2022. The net weight of slaughtered cattle in the third quarter of 2022 increased by 5.9%.
The total number of slaughtered sheep in the third quarter of 2023 increased by 6.4% compared to the third quarter 2022. The net weight of slaughtered sheep in the third quarter of 2023 increased by 15.9%. The total number of slaughtered pigs decreased compared to the same quarter of 2022, while the total number of slaughtered poultry increased by 20.4%.
