In the fourth quarter of 2023 there was a decrease in the slaughter of cattle in slaughterhouses in Montenegro. Number of slaughtered cattle is 8 299 or 14.7 % less than in the fourth quarter of 2022. The net weight of slaughtered cattle in the fourth quarter of 2022 decreased by 7.3%.

The total number of slaughtered sheep in the fourth quarter of 2023 increased by 12.4% compared to the fourth quarter 2022. The net weight of slaughtered sheep in the fourth quarter of 2023 decreased by 6.6%. The total number of slaughtered pigs decreased compared to the same quarter of 2022, while the total number of slaughtered poultry increased by 20.2%.
