Primary production of electricity in Montenegro in 2023 was 2 550.4 GWh, transformation output was 1 636.5 GWh. Total import of electricity was 5 421.3 GWh, and total export was 6 287.8 GWh. Consumption of the energy branch was 127.5 GWh and distribution losses 474.0 GWh.
Total final consumption of electricity in 2023 was 2 718.9 GWh. The highest ratio in total consumption of electricity was in households 53.9%, in the commercial sector and public services 38.9%, in industrial activities 6.2% and in other sectors 1.0%.
