In the fourth quarter of 2024 there was a decrease in the slaughter of cattle in slaughterhouses in Montenegro. Number of slaughtered cattle is 7 826 or 5.7% less than in the fourth quarter of 2023. The net weight of slaughtered cattle in the fourth quarter of 2024 icreased by 2.2%.

The total number of slaughtered sheep in the fourth quarter of 2024 decreased by 5.2% compared to the fourth quarter 2023. The net weight of slaughtered sheep in the quarter of 2024 decreased by 1.8%.The total number of slaughtered pigs is 2.8 times higher compared to the same quarter of 2023, while the total number of slaughtered poultry decreased by 10.0%.
