According to preliminary data, the numerical state of livestock as of 1 December 2025, compared to 1 December 2024, shows an increase in the total number of cattle and sheep. The total number of cattle is 68 481, which is 1.5% more than last year. The total number of dairy cows increased by 2.1%. The total number of sheep increased by 8.2% compared with the previous year. The number of goats remained at the same level as in the previous year.
The total number of pigs increased of 13.4%, compared to the last year and amounted to 33 179. The total number of poultry in 2025 was higher by 14.2%. The largest share is held by laying hens, with the total of 1 029 023, and compared to the last year, it shows an increase of 1.3%.
