Consumer prices index CPI


Prices of goods and services for personal consumption, measured by consumer price index, in July 2026, as compared to June 2026, increased by 0.8% on average. Consumer prices in July 2026, as compared to July 2025, increased by 3.8% on average. This was influenced mostly by increase in prices of: accommodation services; tobacco; cereals and cereal products; restaurants, cafés and the like; milk, other dairy products and eggs; passenger transport by air; meat; hairdressing salons and personal grooming establishments. Consumer prices in period January-July 2026 compared to the same period of previous year, were higher for 3.4% in average.
Observing the main groups by purpose of consumption, in July 2026 as compared to June 2026, monthly increase of prices was noticed in the following groups: Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (4.6%); Restaurants and accommodation services (4.4%); Personal care, social protection and miscellaneous goods and services (1.3%); Health (0.9%); Recreation, sport and culture (0.8%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.7%); Transport (0.6%); Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (0.5%); Information and communication (0.3%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (0.2%), while decrease of prices was recorded in the group Clothing and footwear (-2.4%).
Prices of other products and services mostly remained unchanged.
