In the second quarter of 2026 there was a decrease in the slaughter of cattle in slaughterhouses in Montenegro. Number of slaughtered cattle is 6 871 or 6.9 % less than in the second quarter of 2025. The net weight of slaughtered cattle in the second quarter of 2026 decreased by 11%.

The total number of slaughtered sheep in the second quarter of 2026 decreased by 7% compared to the second quarter 2025. The net weight of slaughtered sheep in the second quarter of 2026 decreased by 15.3%. The total number of slaughtered pigs shows an increase of 43,6% to the same quarter of 2025. The total number of slaughtered poultry increased by 32.2%.
