External trade of Montenegro January-June 2012


The total external trade of Montenegro for period January-June 2012 is EUR 1 047.3 million, indicating the drop of 0.9% in comparison with the same month of the previous year.
The value of exports of goods is EUR 182.3 million, what is 14.6% less compared to the same period of previous year, and imports are EUR 864.9 million, what is 2.6% higher compared to the same period of previous year.
The coverage of import by export is 21.1%, and it is lower compared to the coverage for the same period of previous year, when it was 25.3%.
Structure of exports in accordance with the SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) the most present products are Manufactured goods classified chiefly by material– Section 6, in amount of EUR 92.3 million (consisted of: Non-ferrous metals with the amount of EUR 75.8 million, and Iron and steel with EUR 12.3 million).
The structure of imports in accordance with the classification SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) is presented mostly products of Section 3 – Mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials with EUR 170.1 million (consisted of: Petroleum, petroleum products and related materials with EUR 100.8 million, and Electric current with EUR 62.7 million).
Main trading partners in exports with individual basis were: Croatia (EUR 47.2 million), Serbia (EUR 36.8 million) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (EUR 12.7 million).
Main trading partners in imports with individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 249.2 million), Greece (EUR 73 million), and Bosnia and Herzegovina (EUR 59.8 million). The highest external trade trend was with CEFTA and EU countries.
