Monthly inflation in April was +0.3%, while the annual inflation down to 3.2%
Monthly inflation measured by Consumer price index was +0.3% in April, while annual inflation down to +3.2%. This was influenced mostly by the increase in vegetables and fruit; clothing and footwear; bread and cereals as milk,cheese and eggs.
When observing the main groupsmonthly growth of prices was noticed in the following groups: Food and non-alcoholic beverages (+1.6%); Clothing and footwear (+0.6%); Health (+0.2%); Education (+0.2%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (+0.1%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (+0.1%), while a drop of prices is recorded in groups: Transport (-3.0%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (-0.4%); Recreation and culture (-0.1%). Prices in the groups: Communications; Restaurants and hotels; Miscellaneous goods and services remain at the same level as in the previous month.
Positive annual inflation rates in April were observed in the following groups: Clothing and footwear (+9.4%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (+5.4%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (+4.4%); Recreation and culture (+3.8%); Communications (+3.4%); Health (+2.1%); Hotels and restaurants (+1.7%); Miscellaneous goods and services (+1.1%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (+0.6%); Education (+0.2%); while negative annual inflation rates were observed in the following groups: Transport (-4.6%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-2.8%).
