Economic accounts for agriculture

The Economic Accounts for Agriculture (EAA) provide information on the economic activity of the agricultural sector by monitoring the value of agricultural output, intermediate consumption, gross value added and other economic indicators in agriculture.

The Economic Accounts for Agriculture are compiled based on data obtained from surveys conducted by the Statistical Office (MONSTAT) and administrative data provided by the competent institutions in the field of agriculture.

The compilation is based on the concepts and rules defined by Regulation (EU) No 138/2004 and the principles of the European System of Accounts (ESA).

The reference period is the calendar year.
