1. Law on Official Statistics and Official Statistical System (Official Gazette of Montenegro No 018/12 of 30 March 2012)
Pursuant to Article 82 paragraph 1 item 2 and Article 91 paragraph 1 of the Constitution of Montenegro, the Law on Official Statistics and Official Statistical System was passed by the 24th Parliament of Montenegro at the third sitting of the first ordinary (spring) session in 2012 on 21 March 2012.

2. Amendments to the Law on Official Statistics and Official Statistical System (Official Gazette of Montenegro No 018/12 of 30 March 2012, 047/19 of 12 August 2019)
Pursuant to Article 82 paragraph 1 item 2 and Article 91 paragraph 1 of the Constitution of Montenegro, the Law on Official Statistics and Official Statistical System the 26th Parliament of Montenegro on the tenth sitting of the first ordinary (spring) session in 2019 on 31 July 2019 passed the Law on Amendments to the Law on Official Statistics and Official Statistical System.
Decree Promulgating the Law on Amendments to the Law on Official Statistics and Official Statistical System
Amendments to the Law on Official Statistics and Official Statistical System enable the use of necessary data from administrative sources, including identifiers, and right to integrate administrative sources with official statistics aimed at development, production, and dissemination of official statistics. Additionally, there is solved the issue of collision of national legislation norms when using necessary data with identifiers from administrative sources for statistical purposes, and harmonization of legislation with the international standards.

Pursuant to Article 82 paragraph 1 item 2 and Article 91 paragraph 1 of the Constitution of Montenegro, the 28th Parliament of Montenegro at the sitting of the third extra-ordinary session in 2025 on 28 February 2025, passes the Law on Amendments to the Law on Official Statistics and Official Statistical System.

Decree Promulgating the Law on Amendments to the Law on Official Statistics and Official Statistical System
Key amendments refer to the issues of competence over the government finance statistics production between Ministry of Finance and Statistical Office, so that the government finance statistics are smoothly produced, as well as the changed composition of the Council of Statistical System.
