This release contains the data received through the Labour Force Survey conducted in the 2025. The interviewing was done in 7 098 households on the territory of Montenegro. There were collected data about demographic characteristics for all members of the households (18 022 persons were surveyed), and, in addition, also data about economic activity for persons aged 15 to 89 (15 379 persons).
According to the data for the four quarters of 2025, there were 310.4 thousand of active population in Montenegro, out of which there were 277.3 thousand of employed persons, or 89.3%, and 33.1 thousand of unemployed2, or 10.7%. There were 199.4 thousand of persons outside the labour force (15 to 89 years old).
For the persons aged 15 to 89 in the 2025, activity rate is 60.9%; employment rate is 54.4%; unemployment rate is 10.7%, and population outside the labour force rate is 39.1%.
